The Stadtentwicklungsverband Ulm/Neu-Ulm We warmly congratulate LfA Förderbank Bayern on its 75th anniversary. Since its founding in 1951, LfA has supported the economic development of Bavaria and has become a reliable and efficient partner for companies, startups, and municipalities.

Around €95 billion in funding commitments and almost 460.000 loans granted since commencing operations in May 1951 underscore the importance of the LfA for Bavaria as a business location. What once began as the "State Institute for Reconstruction Financing" against the backdrop of post-war economic reconstruction is today a modern development bank that particularly supports small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in their investments, growth, innovation, and transformation efforts.

The LfA's statutory mandate to strengthen Bavaria's economic, transport, and environmental infrastructure has remained unchanged over the decades. At the same time, the development bank has continuously adapted to new economic challenges. With its strategic evolution into a bank for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) and transformation, its range of support services has recently been significantly expanded. Higher maximum loan amounts, extended liability waivers, and new financing options for digital and sustainable transformation strengthen companies, particularly during a time of profound economic change.

The LfA has also been an important financing partner for municipalities for decades. Investments in infrastructure and the future viability of towns and cities make a significant contribution to the competitiveness of entire regions. For the Stadtentwicklungsverband Ulm/Neu-Ulm The LfA is therefore an important player in the cross-border economic region and a partner when it comes to creating good framework conditions for businesses and employment.

Of particular note is the LfA's evolution from a traditional development bank to a comprehensive partner for SMEs, innovation, and transformation. The strengthening of venture capital financing and the support of start-ups further demonstrate that the LfA is also exploring new avenues to promote future technologies and innovative business models in Bavaria.

75 years of LfA means 75 years of successful economic development.

The Stadtentwicklungsverband Ulm/Neu-Ulm congratulates LfA Förderbank Bayern on this special anniversary and thanks them for 75 years of dedicated service to companies, municipalities and Bavaria as a business location.

We wish LfA continued success in the coming years, a lucky hand in managing economic and technological changes, and numerous successful projects in the service of a strong and sustainable economy.
