The association's goal is to improve the competitiveness of the cities of Ulm and Neu-Ulm to strengthen together, to jointly utilize existing area development potentials and thus contribute to securing and creating jobs and strengthening regional awareness.

The municipalities of Elchingen, Dornstadt, Nersingen and the town of Blaustein are working together within the framework of an inter-municipal cooperation with the Stadtentwicklungsverband Ulm/Neu-Ulm together, in order to coordinate and optimize the marketing of commercial space.
